PANICDOTE: THE STORY OF STRICKEN (2021) This horror-comedy-mockumentary was written, directed, and filmed by good friends “HARK! AHOY!”, with creative involvement, art, acting, and soundtracking also from me. One of the greatest creative challenges of this film was the sheer amount of material we had to conjure up (in the spirit of making fiction appear as non-fiction). Many posters had to be made, interviews conducted, behind-the-scenes photos taken, and much much more. We were pleased to see this movie take home 1st-place at Kimberley Horror Fest 2021. We also had the pleasure of screening at The RIO Theatre’s “Grind Film Festival” in Vancouver, BC.

SLASHER VIEWING HOUR” & “TØNE DEATH MUSIC VIDEO (2020) In October 2020, frequent collaborators and creative friends “HARK! AHOY!” and I made a film for Kimberley Horror Fest, called “Slasher Viewing Hour”. It paid homage to the campiness of 80s horror films & television (media which we have a shared admiration for). Along with making several trailers for fictional horror flicks—for this project—we created a completely original 80s Alternative Pop song, called “TØNE DEATH”, under the guise of the fictional band Ø-NØ. Much of the track was orchestrated on my 1980s Yamaha Keyboard, where we were able to find an authentic sound. As well as scoring, recording, and mixing it ourselves, we made an accompanying music video, which would be featured briefly in “Slasher Viewing Hour” as well.

“Fictional Cereal Boxes” Hark! Ahoy!” and I both enjoy making props for our films, and though these were designed by them, the use of my glamorous face (as bandit Chester Wyatt) was implemented for the graphics. These posters proudly reside in my home studio.
